I have just moved into a newly built flat in Hurma. Should I change the cylinder?
It is not compulsory, but it is usually sensible: during construction, sale and handover the keys may have passed through many hands. A cylinder replacement leaves the lock in the door and makes every old key useless. As the lock itself is new, there is rarely any need to replace the whole lock.
Can you copy the key to the old lock on my house or garden gate?

My passport and residence card are locked inside. Can you still open the door?
Yes. Once the door is open, we look at your passport and residence permit (ikamet) or rental contract together; it also helps if a neighbour or the complex’s security can confirm who you are.
